Today in my Language class we had a guest speaker come talk to us about an app that he helped developed, that is being used in some schools. The app is called Thumbprint and it is free to download. For schools they will come talk to the principal and you have to pay for the teachers to be able to use reports. The guest speaker told us there is no set price for the reports, it is usually set up with the principal and depends on how many teachers are using this app. As a teacher you set up a home page and you can get you students to access this though this app. You can search for subjects and get materials for that subject. Once you attach it to your page, your students can go through it as well.
Hey Brent, this looks like an amazing Web 2.0 Tool that will be able to connect teachers all across the globe, allowing them to share lessons and ideas with each other and with students. This tool can have a huge impact on someone digital footprint. MS.
This tool seems very promising. Access, and familiarity to this software, would put you ahead of other newly-qualified teachers. It also helps you bring your classroom into the 21st century, and allows you to create a blended classroom environment.
